Meet Indie Jazz and Coco - simple, uncomplicated, social, loving, loyal, simple, simple, easy girls all Lab cross something cross awesome. They are all 7 years of age.

They are LEKKER dogs.

How do we know them you ask?

Well one night we went to a bar and....oh wait wrong story....

We make use of a wonderful boarding kennel in Johannesburg and 4.5 years ago, the “client” or “owner” never returned to collect them. Let’s call him Mr Box (in Afrikaans)

The kennel is their home, and it’s not bad one, they receive EVERYTHING they need, but it’s not a HOME.

Each weekend they cleverly watch us, our volunteers walk them, give them treats and we make sure whatever our Rottie get these LEKKER dogs also get.

We cry for them, worry about them and hope for them like we do for our Rotties. They are basically social blonde Rottweilers with zero issues.

I have watched them over the past 3.5 years sit at the gates watching Rotties arrive and then leave when adopted. So they started sitting closer, and closer and then REALLY CLOSE to the gates - hoping to be chosen.
They use to just chill in their kennel, now when they see people they also put on a show - the problem? “Our People” want ROTTWEILERS and not LEKKER dogs like these.

THEY ARE KID FRIENDLY

So.... Father Christmas never came, for the past 4 years, a Christmas miracle never arrived (must be in the mail) so I’m asking FACEBOOK TO HELP.

We have 25,000 LEKKER people on this page if they wan share and two people see it that’s 38,000 other LEKKER people checking these LEKKER dogs out.

Maybe your Neighbour, cousin, piece on the side, the guy at gym who forgets leg day but likes all your posts, hairdresser or ex girlfriend (who stalks you) would like LEKKER dogs like these. PLEASE SHARE SO THEY CAN SEE THEM!

Sterilized, fully vaccinated, dewormed, well trained, low maintenance LEKKER dogs available to a loving home.

Whilst there will be no adoption fee we will have stringent home checks. These dogs are healthy, beautiful and will make wonderful additions to a family.

Kindly note: we are NOT looking for a shelter to take these dogs over but a FOREVER HOME.

Buffy is a 2 year old female Rottweiler.

I got to meet this beautiful, happy, clown like dog this afternoon and I am in love.

For me a Rottweiler’s temperament is EVERYTHING! Buffy is amazing,
Loving, full of love and wonderful.

She previously lived with other Rotties and a staffie (wow if only I knew someone with a male Rottie and a staffie....- cough)

No cats or tiny dogs please.

DURBAN KZN MALE BEAUT SEEKS A FUREVER HOME

He’s just a boy standing in front of his kennel asking you to love him.

Canon came to us after he attacked a cow.

He has been assessed by 1 x amazing behaviorist and handled by 1 x rottie expert + husband who all agree - Canon is ready for a loving family home.

He will be eligible for adoption to a home with

♟ medium to large breed female dogs
♟ people with bigger kids he’s not used to 
little kids.
♟ people who do not possess cows
♟ people who do not live in high risk areas.
♟ we aren’t sure why we used this emoticon

A polite notice: we aren’t going to send Canon to an area where there are patterns of dog theft, poisoning, risk or where your neighbors think it’s acceptable to chain dogs.

Canon is a magnificent dog who loves attention and human contact. He has tremendous drive and with food you can easily teach him to do anything.

He is 5 years young and in excellent shape.

DIESEL 18 MONTH OLD MALE JHB

“Diesel 2019” came to us in December along with his brother and sister.

His ”sister” had such severe cancer in her lungs that when she sneezed there was blood splatter everywhere.

She died a lonely death.

Only Diesel and his brother remain who took a very long time to load when we had to collect them.

They have never been on leads and we’re purchased and kept at a business.

Diesel is showing positive progress and we would love someone experienced with the breed to consider him for adoption.

When we say experienced we don’t mean militant we mean loving but firm, confident but not harsh.

The key to this dog will surely be love, patients and treats.

As you can see he is a gorgeous dog still very young with a lot to give.

Grolsch and Chivas

GAUTENG WELCOMES 
GROLSCH 🍻 and CHIVAS 🥃

We collected the most beautiful male and female pair of KUSA registered ROTTWEILERS.

Grolsch is a 18 month old male and Chivas a 21 month old female who are an inseparable, bonded pair who must be homed together.

Grolsh the male is a big baby and active lap dog who doesn’t know his size!

Chivas is a protective mother figure to Grolsh and her family - her people are her everything.

Both dogs are exceptionally loving and contain 0% alcohol.

They have not been socialized with other dogs and need to be placed as only dogs. No cats please.

They unfortunately have not been exposed to small children.

Thank you to our vet for assisting us with their sterilisation this afternoon - we truly appreciate it!

Meet Holly, she is a 4 year old Female who is desperately looking for a new home. She is well suited to home with older children as she can be a bit clumsy with the small kids. She is good with other dogs but tends to chase the neighbours cats.
She is very lovable and calm and just wants to be loved.

LOLA FEMALE JHB

Lola joined us today in Johannesburg.
She is 6 years young but doesn’t look a day older than 2!

She is a strong female who has a chunky build and beautiful face.

Confident, stable, alert and obedient she really is the full package.

No more chewing and house training.

Lola attended 2 years of obedience training and is a settled dog.

She is SUPER kid friendly and previously lived with a German Shepard (female) and also enjoys swimming.

A wonderful dog looking for a wonderful home.

DUMPED ON THE ROAD SIDE-JHB

We welcome yet another tragic case into Rottweiler Rescue. We have taken in three other starvation / neglect cases with a fourth to follow shortly today.

This girl was handed into Brakenhurst Vet after she was seen being dumped by a green car on the road side near the mall of the south.

This is obviously a travesty. We have obviously checked to see she isn’t a stolen dog, she is not microchipped nor does she match the description of missing dogs (please she is not Frankie and he is a male so...)

So we welcome special girl - we have named you Luna.

Max

CHUNKY MAX AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION GAUTENG

Two things: 
Firstly max is big boned and not fat (we are familiar with this condition) and secondly we hope you apply to adopt based on this dog’s heart and not his head.

Max was rescued in Louis Trichardts and thanks to Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre he caught a ride to Gauteng (do you see how kind they are to us?)

I can’t reveal who found out about this dog and who ensured he was rescued but I can say this person does her share to help our dogs even in her mature age.

Little was known about Max because he was left at a friend of a friend of a friend and never collected.

Everything we know we have had to gather via CCTV, experience and kennel stalking (leopard print is very in watch this space)

So here is what we do now know:

💙Max is a big boy. 
💙He is 4. 
💙He will be best suited with a female large breed dog.
💙No cats or small dogs please!

Due to his size we will require people with large kids and someone with experience.

He has a wonderful nature, friendly, playful energetic.

He is in excellent heath and has his entire life waiting for him.

Know this - Max has plenty new mates in the kennel - Hunter, Tyson, Diesel, Rex, Lucky etc so if Max isn’t the dog for you we definitely have a male for you.

Kindly note we don’t place males into a home with other male dogs - think what you will but we have our reasons.

Introductions will be done after a home check.

Mufasa

JOHANNESBURG HUNK SEEKS NEW LIFE

If you follow our page you may have read that on Friday evening we received an email to state that this dog was in need of a home because his owners were moving the next day.

On Sunday we watched his sad expression and how disillusioned he was with life.

I am now happy to report that “Mufasa” has accepted that life as he knew it has changed and a new life awaits him...

He’s ready to move on.

After spending some time with him today our volunteers all agree that Mufasa is ready for a home!

Mufasa is only 2.5 years old and obviously gorgeous.

He is very kid friendly.

He will be compatible with a female medium to large breed dog.

No cats or small dogs please!

Nero

Nero has joined us from Port Elizabeth ~ to begin his new life in Johannesburg.

He’s just over 2 years old and a registered male who will start training this Saturday.

Whilst his looks will break hearts we want to assess him further before we place him so we can find the perfect fit.

He lived with teenage children previously and seems social.

Rex is 18 months young and a wonderful dog.
He likes his human so much he that he prefers if they don’t talk on the phone and paws them off from it.

He adores water, loves car rides.

Would be fine with medium to large breed female dog.

Whiskey is a 6 year old male Rottweiler and Sherry 5 year old female in search of a new home after their owner passed away.

If you can’t adopt please share the post every share helps!

Both are real loving dogs who relish in attention but do need to go on a strict diet.

They are fine with children but have not been exposed to other dogs. They are not cat friendly.

This is the ideal dogs for those who do not want “busy” hyperactive or high maintenance dogs.

Zia is a 3 year old purebred female looking for a new loving home.

She adores tummy scratches and lives with a little dog! So she is small dog friendly.
